Chardonnay Wine Tasting
September 7 @ 12:00 pm - 3:45 pm
Saturdays wine tasting is for Chardonnay lovers as well as people open to trying the complexity a Chardonnay grape has. The Chardonnay grape itself is neutral, with many of the flavors commonly associated with the wine being derived from such influences as terrior and oak. It is vinified in many different styles, from the lean, crisply mineral wines of Chablis, France, to New World wines with oak and tropical fruit flavors. In cool climates Chardonnay wine tends to be medium to light body with noticeable acidity and flavors of green plum, apple, and pear. In warmer locations, the flavors become more citrus, peach, and melon, while in very warm locations, more fig and tropical fruit notes such as banana and mango come out. Wines that have gone through malolactic fermentation tend to have softer acidity and fruit flavors with buttery mouthfeel and hazelnut notes.
Our in store tastings are free, however everyone must have a valid ID to be able to taste (regardless of age). Bring your friends and come visit us in the gift ware section in the southeast corner of the store.
(We want to have a great experience tasting different beers and wines every week with our costumers. Please understand that we do up hold all state rules that are posted in store regarding pouring a controlled substance, and reserve the right to refuse service.)
